Don’t Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle

Be bold, be you! Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle. The life is too short to live under someone else’s conditions or expectations or worry about what others think. Make your own path and follow it with your head held high and never quit learning and being the best version of yourself! In honor of my grandpa passing at respectable 95 years of age I wanted to post a reminder of how it’s important to live your life to the fullest and not let anyone hold you back or put you down. My grandpa was a strong man who never stopped learning and who fought in the Winter war against Russians. He didn’t let anything hold him back and I learned a lot of my Finnish “sisu” from him. Us Finns are known for our “sisu” which is a never ending strength that carries us on and makes us strong and able to handle anything that is thrown us. It’s our heritage and I’m blessed to have been given that and have an incredible husband and family to share it with. I’m passing the heritage of sisu onto my children while living here in the US. Go after what you want and go do it now! You are the designer of your own life, make it exactly how you want it to be.
